The Reallabor 70 GW Offshore Wind is building a unique research and innovation ecosystem to address the planned expansion of wind energy in the German North Sea up to 2045 in a demand-oriented, holistic way.

In this workshop, we bring together experts from industry, research and public authorities to discuss three central themes: spatial planning and grid development, marine environmental impacts, and developments in turbine technology. Three keynote speeches will set the stage, followed by a general discussion and parallel breakout sessions where participants identify open research questions and future industry demands in small groups.

Your input will directly shape the focus of the living lab going forward — we look forward to your participation.

You can look forward to the following keynote talks:

The next steps towards efficient offshore planning – insights into upcoming processes including a cross‑border perspective

Jan Teuwsen, Amprion

Impact of human activities on the marine environment

Kai Herklotz, Bundesamt für Seeschifffahrt und Hydrographie
